Force of Impulse is a 1960 romantic drama directed by Saul Swimmer which tells the story of a young guy, Warren Reese (Robert Alda), from a typical middle-class family, a successful high school football player. He is passionately in love with Ann (Christina Crawford), a charming girl from his class who comes from a rich family. Although their feelings are sincere and mutual, her arrogant father disapproves this relationship because of Warren's lower social status. The restless young man does desperate things to find money for a romantic date in town with his love, including stealing from his own father's grocery store. At the same time, the young couple struggles against misconceptions and prejudice as they continue to see each other amidst the hardships thrown at them by the rich father. Ann is forced to date a guy from a wealthy family, but she soon realizes that her love is not for sale. It all comes down to a sincere talk between the two fathers when they realize that money can't stand in the way of true love.moreless
