Forever Female is a 1953 movie that features Ginger Rogers as an aging Broadway ing''nue who refuses to relinquish the spotlight to younger actresses. Beatrice Page (Ginger Rogers) is a vibrant, stubborn and ambitious Broadway star. She still maintains a close relationship with her producer ex-husband, E. Harry Phillips (Paul Douglas). When an equally ambitious and difficult playwright, Stanley Krown (William Holden), writes a play that catches Page's eye, she's determined to play the starring role. The problem is that Holden wrote the role with a much younger actress in mind. Matters grow more complicated and the love triangle grows more tricky with the arrival of Sally Carver (Pat Crowley), a bright, young up-and-comer determined to snag the starring spot in Krown's play. The two actresses, the producer and the playwright must face up to the issues of youthfulness, fame and romance as the struggle for the starring role develops in its own dramatic and hilarious way.
