Forget Paris is a 1995 romantic comedy directed, produced and co-written by star Billy Crystal. NBA referee Mickey Gordon (Billy Crystal) is travelling to France to bury his father when a mix-up puts him in contact with airline employee Ellen Andrews (Debra Winger). Immediately attracted to each other, they spend a romantic weekend in Paris, exploring the city and slowly falling in love before Mickey has to go home. They can't forget each other, though, or what they had in Paris. Ellen transfers back to the states and it isn't long before they get married. Their marriage is far from perfect however, it's not nearly as easy as their Parisian romance. Mickey's hectic NBA travel schedule, Ellen's career and fertility problems compound their problems. Their love story is told in flashbacks told by friends gathered at a restaurant, waiting for the couple to arrive. Forget Paris features a stellar cast including Joe Mantegna, Cathy Moriarity, Richard Masur and NBA stars Charles Barkley, Bill Walton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Marv Albert.moreless
