Fort Dobbs is a 1958 American Western black and white film directed by Gordon Douglas. Gar Davis (Clint Walker) is a wanted man on the run from the law, accused of a murder he didn't commit and pursued by an angry posse. His troubles are magnified when he meets a widow and her child who are stranded and in danger from Apache Indians on the warpath. Celia Gray (Virginia Mayo) was widowed when her husband was murdered, leaving her alone with their son Chad (Richard Eyer). Celia and Chad gratefully accept the help offered by Davis, but it isn't long before Celia becomes suspicious of Davis. Is he the man who killed her husband? Davis plans to escort the woman and child to safety at the nearby U.S. Cavalry fort, but will Celia's suspicions derail Davis's plans? Despite the harsh conditions and mistrust between the two, romance blossoms on the dusty trail. Will Celia ever learn the truth?
