Fortune Hunters is a family friendly adventure comedy released in 2000 and directed by Neil Mandt. The screenplay, written by Gregory Poppen, was adapted from a story by Mark Twain. The plot of the film revolves around the working class Hunter family, who have just learned that they have won fifty million dollars in a lottery. Shortly thereafter, family patriarch Ted Hunter (Richard Thomas) learns that they've misplaced the winning ticket! With only a short four-hour window to claim the cash, the family must scour downtown Los Angeles in an attempt to find the ticket. Their search is made even more complicated by the fact that the Hunters must keep their winning status under wraps, lest someone else find the ticket and try to claim the prize for themselves. Corey Feldman and Alison Lohman round out the cast of this fast-paced, zany comedy. This race against the clock will leave viewers in stitches and is appropriate for audiences of all ages.moreless
