Four Deuces takes a tongue-in-cheek look at speakeasy clubs during Prohibition. Vic Morono (Jack Palance) runs The Four Deuces nightclub and heads a gang by the same name. Joining him in the gang are Ben Arlen (Joynny Haymer), the Deuce of Hearts; Smokey Ross (Martin Kove), the Deuce of Diamonds; Mickey Navarro (H.B. Haggerty), the Deuce of Spades; and Chip Morono (Gianni Russo), the Deuce of Clubs. The mobster has a weakness for women. He falls hard for blonde bombshell Wendy (Carol Lynley), who's in love with his friend Russ Timmons (Adam Roarke), a reporter. At the same time, his street war with a rival gang led by Chico Hamilton (Warren Berlinger) is escalating and attacks on the two clubs are increasing. So are raids by the local police. After a brutal bloodbath with Chico's thugs, Vic must question his humanity as he rages about losing Wendy. William H. Bushnell directed the 1976 action comedy, which was written by Don Martin with Lester Franklin adapting the screenplay.moreless
