This scheme involves Francis spending time behind the scenes at the racetrack gathering information. Then he provides Peter with the inside scoop about the horses. Peter places informed bets and collects winnings. After Peter uses these winnings to purchase a mare as a racehorse for the farm, Francis might lose his heart to the mare -- but his heart isn't the only thing at stake. Does the timid mare have what it takes to be winner on the race course and make the ranch profitable again?
