Frank and Jesse is a 1994 Western biographical film written and directed by Robert Boris. It is a retelling of the story of the infamous James brothers, Frank (Bill Paxton) and Jesse (Rob Lowe). After the senseless murder of their younger brother at the hands of mercenaries, the James brothers put together a gang to bring about their own brand of justice. They are joined by Cole and Bob Younger (Randy Travis and Todd Field), Bob and Charlie Ford (Jim Flowers and Alexis Arquette), Arch Clements (Nick Sadler), and Clell Miller (John Pyper-Ferguson). Together, the newly formed band of outlaws fights back against the Chicago railroad investors they believe to be the root of their oppression by robbing banks and holding up trains owned by their company. The railroad syndicate hires Allan Pinkerton (William Atherton) to bring the James Brothers to justice. Can the James Gang elude the detective, or will Pinkerton bring them down one by one?
