Movie Summary

Director:
Roman Polanski
Released:
1985
Rating:
R

Dr. Richard Walker, a successful surgeon and his beautiful wife Sondra travel to Paris on business. When they arrive at their hotel, Sondra realizes she cannot open her suitcase. Walker tells her she most likely grabbed someone else's suitcase at baggage claim. As Sondra makes arrangements with the airport, Walker jumps into the shower. When he gets out, his wife is missing. He hurries downstairs to ask if anyone has seen her, and strangely, the only person with any insight is a homeless man outside who mentions she was forced into a car with men by her side. In a panic, Walker calls the American embassy and the local police, but neither seems very willing to help. He then decides to search for his wife himself.
