Frayed is a 2007 horror film directed by Norbert Caoili and Rob Portmann. Back on September 12th, 1994 in the small rural town of Smith Haven, Washington, police arrived on the scene of the most horrific and disturbing crime they had ever encountered. Kurt, the son of the town sheriff brutally beat his mother to death and recorded it all on home video. It is now thirteen years later and the mentally unstable young man is being transferred from the Yellow Glen Rehabilitation Center to a maximum security facility. His father is Pat Baker (played by Tony Doupe) is still the town sheriff and his worst nightmare happens as Kurt escapes from his hospital. One of the security guards, Gary (played by Aaron Blakely), decides to set out into the woods to stop Kurt. Sheriff Baker investigates as well upon realizing that his daughter and her friends are camping in the same woods that Kurt escaped into. Can Kurt be stopped before killing again?moreless
