Freaky Friday is the 2003 film starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in the third version of this story produced by Disney. Anna Coleman (Lohan) is a teenage girl who can't stand to be around her mother Tess (Lee Curtis). The two have very little in common and both are struggling in their day-to-day lives, leaving little patience for each other. After eating at a Chinese food restaurant and opening two fortune cookies, Tess and Anna wake up the next morning to discover that they have switched bodies. As they go about each other's lives, they realize that perhaps they have not been fair with each other. After visiting the Chinese restaurant in hopes of getting back into their own bodies, the waitress tells them that when the fortunes come true, everything will go back to normal. Also starring Chad Michael Murray, Stephen Tobolowsky, Christina Vidal, and Willie Garson, Freaky Friday was both a critical and box-office success.
