Frogs is a 1972 horror movie from Canadian director George McCowan. When photographer Pickett Smith's (Sam Elliott) canoe capsizes in a bayou, siblings Clint (Adam Roarke) and Karen Crockett (Joan Van Ark) take him to the island mansion of their wealthy grandfather, Jason (Ray Milland). The entire Crockett family is staying with Jason to celebrate both his birthday and the 4th of July, but their enthusiasm is dampened by the constant intrusion of loudly chirping frogs. After Jason's servant goes outside to spray pesticide and never returns, Pickett finds that snakes and frogs have killed and fed on him. Soon after his discovery, all of the island's creatures, including frogs, birds, alligators, snakes, lizards, and insects, begin to ruthlessly attack every human in sight. While stubborn Jason refuses to leave his home or end his party, Pickett and the rest of the Crocketts try to find a way to escape the island.moreless
