Hollywood to Deadwood is an homage -- and sometimes a parody -- of the classic Noir films of the '40s. It was shot in 1992 and follows a case led by two detectives, Raymond Savage (Scott Paulin) and Jack Haines (Jim Haynes), as they search for a missing actress, Lana Dark (Barbara Shock). Her mysterious disappearance is costing both her studio and agent millions of dollars and they are willing to pay handsomely to have their star returned. Upon finding Lana, Raymond becomes enamored with the starlet and begins an attempt at courting her. The star isn't thrilled. The story deepens when they find out that Lana's disappearance was all part of an insurance scam by the studios. Lana, Raymond and Jack go on the run as they find out just how much their lives are truly worth to the people out to get them. This film was directed by Rex Pickett.
