From Within is a 2008 horror film that chronicles a rash of mysterious suicides that take place in the small town of Grovetown. The film begins with a snapshot of the Spindle family, one of many families in the community who are religious and do their best to serve Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, the clan has been known to also practice witchcraft as a means of avenging those who have done them wrong. The dedication to this cause is shown when the family's teenage son eventually kills himself in order to seal a curse on the murderer of his mother, who had passed years earlier. This begins a chain of murders around town that police suspect is either accidental or suicide. One of the town's high schoolers, Lindsay (Elizabeth Rice), eventually picks up on the ominous signs as she notices all victims have ties to the family in some way. As the Spindle family continues to kill themselves and others in their evangelical cult, Lindsay attempts to save the last surviving son of the family, Aidan (Thomas Dekker). If she does not, she fears that she could be next.moreless
