Frontier Fugitives is a 1944 Western directed by Harry L. Fraser. The movie surrounds a trio of cowboys, hot on the trail of a gang that attacks fur traders for their valuable pelts. After a fur trader known as Trader Williams (George Morrell) is murdered, his daughter Ellen (Lorraine Miller), enlists the help of Texas Rangers Tex Haines (Tex Ritter), Dave Wyatt (Dave O'Brien) and Panhandle Perkins (Guy Wilkerson). After the rangers surreptitiously follow the main suspect in the killings, it's revealed that gang members are disguising themselves as Indians when they launch attacks. In order to trap the gang, Perkins also disguises himself as an Indian chief. Before the rangers can spring into action, Haines is fingered for the murder of an Indian brave by a fake Indian agent (Jack Ingram). He is now forced to clear his own good name in order to gain his freedom and round up the bad guys.
