Frontier Vengeance is a 1940 Western, directed by George Sherman and Nate Watt, about a cowboy, Jim Sanders (Don 'Red' Barry) and his dilemma between love and friendship. Jim Sanders originally moves home to reunite with his best friend Clay Blackburn (George Offerman, Jr.), but business quickly changes their relationship. As Jim Sanders learns more about Clay Blackburns father, Frank Blackburn (Ivan Miller), he quickly sees that there is a business scandal taking place. Frank Blackburn is the owner of a stagecoach line and has set out to bankrupt the competing business, managed by Joel Hunter (Griff Barnett). Joel Hunter is the father of Jim Sanders's sweetheart, Ruth Hunter (Betty Moran), placing Jim Sanders in a position against the best friend he came home to reunite with originally. Jim Sanders does his best to play the mediator between his best friend and his sweetheart's family, but in the end only one business can win this battle.
