Frost Nixon: The Original Watergate Interviews features the original footage of the historic interview between President Richard Nixon and Sir David Frost. Frost's background as a British daytime television game show host makes him an unlikely candidate for an unprecedented interview with President Nixon. But Frost's tenacity resulted in him securing an interview which became the most widely-watched news interview in the world. Over a four-week period, Frost met with President Nixon for over 28 hours asking questions about topics such as Vietnam and China, abuse of power and President Nixon's final days in office. This footage features the entire 1977 Watergate broadcast. While most of the other sessions maintain a cordial atmosphere, tension rises in this broadcast as Frost begins questioning the President about Watergate. Frost devotes two days to the subject. Today, the Watergate segment of the Frost/Nixon interview remains one of the greatest media events of the 20th century.
