Full-Court Miracle is a 2003 Disney motion picture that centers around Lamont Carr (Richard T. Jones). A former varsity NCAA basketball player, he was forced to give up the sport after a debilitating knee injury. He is inspired to coach a team of local Jewish children in a shady area of Philadelphia, and takes it upon himself to provide this team with the motivation they need to be successful, both on and off the court. While this young team has gone quite some time without a win, under the instruction of Lamont, they stand a chance at the championship. As the team progresses through their religious and educational studies, they begin to find a striking correspondence between Lamont and several characters in the Old Testament. They fancy him an allusion to the story of Judah and the Maccabees. With the enormous dedication and encouragement he brings to the team, they have finally found the spark they need to push themselves to victory. This film is based on a true story.moreless
