Funland is the 1987 American film that tells the story of the demise of the popular amusement park Funland. When Funland's owner, Angus Perry (William Windom) is found dead, the unscrupulous development company that has been biding on the park suddenly takes over. Now owned by Maurio DeMauro (Robert Sacchi) and the rest of the DeMauro family, the park eliminates many of its family friendly rides in exchange for thrill rides that might attract more customers. With profit as their sole motivation, many of the park employees become depressed, especially the park's clown mascot Bruce Burger (David L. Lander), who was once the park's accountant, but now believes he is actually a clown. Burger is eventually fired and replaced by Chad Peller (Lane Davies). When Burger is visited by Perry's ghost, however, he plots revenge on those murdered him. Also starring Terry Beaver, Richard Reiner, Bonnie Turner, Bruce Maheler, Clark Brandon, and Jill Carroll, Funland was poorly received by critics.
