Gacy is a direct-to-DVD biographical film about the life of notorious serial killer, John Wayne Gacy. Gacy followed after the film Bundy in 2002 which was about serial killer, Ted Bundy. John Wayne Gacy was a murderer that used to dress up as a clown for children at a local hospital. Gacy killed over thirty people, mostly young boys over a six year span. Mark Holton (Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Teen Wolf Too) delivers a chilling performance portraying one of the most famous serial killers in all of history. The movie does divert from history on some occasions but gets the emotional details down to a science. The film does justice though to the horrific violence of the crimes and the insanity of the film's antagonist. The film does try to humanize Gacy in ways, detailing his horrible childhood, and the near fatal assault on his head which left a blood clot. The film in the end is a success at portraying a true look at one of history's most psychotic humans.moreless
