What he soon finds out is that Chicago is a large city filled with much more danger than his small town can hold. He encounters a thief that lifts his wallet and all the money he has. On the brink of starvation, he comes into contact with Queen Lil (Melina Mercouri) who seems to want to lend him a helping hand. He's given food, shelter and connected to a job. However his small town trusting ways land him in the middle of corruption and scandal when he becomes involved in the upcoming election. He must now make a tough choice between limitless power and the peace of justice he set out for.
