Games is a psychological thriller about a well to do couple that engages in a unexpectedly deadly game. Paul (James Caan) and Kennifer (Katharine Ross) Montgomery love games. The couple of young socialites have everything from pinball to slot machines to a shooting gallery in their upscale home, and especially revel in engaging in role playing scenarios. Their thirst for fun diversions is quenched when Lisa Schindler (Simone Signoret), an aging, seemingly psychic woman selling cosmetics visits their home, but is struck ill and winds up staying for an extended period of time. During her stay, their visitor recommends an array of slightly more macabre and dark games to the wealthy duo. In an eerie episode of role playing, after they are visited by Norman (Don Stroud), a delivery boy, Jennifer is to come seduce the unexpected visitor, with Paul busting in at the right time to shoot the would be object of adultery. But this twisted fantasy turns into a nightmare when Norman does indeed wind up dead, and Paul and Jennifer are racing to set things right. But as things unfold, the game gets more complicated, and nothing is what you would expect. Curtis Harrington directs this mysterious thrill ride with twists and turns around every corner.moreless
