Games is a psychological thriller about Paul and Jennifer, a wealthy young couple who love games. They have everything from pinball and slot machines to a shooting gallery in their upscale New York home; they also have a fondness for role-playing scenarios. Their thirst for diversion is momentarily stalled by the arrival of Lisa Schindler, a penniless, seemingly psychic woman selling cosmetics who turns up on their doorstep and immediately falls ill. They take her in and she winds up staying for an extended period of time. During her stay, this mysterious visitor introduces her new benefactors to an array of somewhat more macabre games - including a rather sadistic episode involving a delivery boy, Norman, which turns into a nightmare when he unexpectedly winds up bloodily dead. As events unfold ever more bizarrely, the game gets more complicated, and nothing is what you would expect. Curtis Harrington stylishly directs this mysterious thrill-ride with twists and turns around every corner.
