Gas, the feature film debut of commercial director Henry Chan, is an urban comedy about two sons trying to run their father's gas station after his death. To claim his inheritance, Damien (Flex Alexander) must keep his family's long-running gas station, Powell's Gas and Market, going for one more year. However, he must also work with his brother, Mookie (Khalil Kain), with whom he does not get along. Years before, Mookie, a former drug dealer, cost his brother a college scholarship, and their relationship has never recovered. Though they fight often about the business, Mookie and Damien eventually see that their father had a bigger purpose than distributing money by making them run the station together. He wanted his two sons to reconcile. Featuring comic relief from Reverend Sheila (Gina Ravera) and a cameo from model Tyson Beckford as Karl, Gas is a funny and poignant comedy about family and responsibility.
