Burt Reynolds
Released:
1976
Rating:
PG

Gator is the 1976 sequel to the popular cult favorite White Lightning, this time directed by recurring super star Burt Reynolds. A two-time loser like Gator McKlusky (Reynolds, Deliverance, Boogie Nights, Striptease, Cop and a Half) will do anything to avoid a third strike and a long prison stint. So when a big city revenuer asks for Gator's help, what choice does he have? Gator's mission is to get the goods on Bama McCall (Jerry Reed, Smokey and the Bandit, The Waterboy, The Dukes of Hazzard), the nasty crime boss of a neighboring county. Gator gets something else he hadn't counted on, however, when he falls for television reporter Aggie Maybank (Lauren Hutton, American Gigolo, Love at First Bite, Someone's Watching Me!, Zorro, The Gay Blade, My Father, The Hero, Fear). Can he get the girl and the goon?
