Gene Autry Collection: Blue Canadian Rockies is a musical Western starring the legend, Gene Autry, as himself. Montana ranch owner Cyrus Higbee (Don Beddoe) enlists the help of his foreman, Gene Autry, to travel to his Canadian timberland and prevent the marriage of his daughter Sandy (Gail Davis). Higbee dislikes Sandy's fianc''e, Todd (Ross Ford), and Gene is on the way to stop the nuptials. Sandy's desire to turn the land into a dude ranch has the local lumber jacks up in arms, so when Gene arrives there is trouble brewing. A Mountie is murdered and all the suspicion falls to Sandy's fianc''e, Todd. Autry must bring a resolution to the problem and clear Todd's name. Blue Canadian Rockies enjoyably displays the footnotes of a classic Western; good versus evil, conflict resolution, a distressed lady and there is even crooning from country and western legends Carolina Cotton and the Cass County Boys.
