Gene Autry Collection: Stardust on the Sage is a classic Western featuring none other than country and western music singer Gene Autry and his sidekick Smiley Burnette, who plays Frog Millhouse. The scene is set in this 1942 film when an upset Autry overhears a radio show where somebody is impersonating him and his voice in an attempt to get honest ranch owners to invest in a hydraulic mine project. Investigating who is responsible for the seemingly shady investment, Autry with Millhouse join forces with the mine owner Jeff Drew (William Henry) to dig deeper into the scheme. Also assisted by Judy Drew (former child star, Edith Fellows) and Nancy Drew (Louise Curry) this classic Western contains the gun fights, fist brawls and dynamite explosions which characterise the genre. Gene Autry Collection: Stardust on the Sage is directed by William Morgan with the feature film running at a little over one hour.
