George Carlin: You Are All Diseased is the video of his hilarious 1999 HBO stand up show. Carlin brings his typical in-your-face humor and makes fun of Americana, politics, parenting, religion, advertising, and television. Carlin makes everyone keep their heads down for fear that he will turn his probing and sarcastic view in their direction. There's very little that Carlin leaves unsaid and nothing he is afraid to say. He goes through airport security, critiques SARS, makes fun of germaphobes, and dives into terrorism. For Carlin fans, this is some of his core material, the basis for which he has been awarded four Grammys. For novices, this is a great place to begin the Carlin experience. It's just offensive enough to make the audience anxious, but just true enough that it can't be brushed aside. Perhaps a good deal of Carlin's comedy could be covered under the umbrella of one of the track titles in this film, "More Things That Are Pissing Me Off."moreless
