George Lopez: America's Mexican is a comedy segment based on the actor in the hit TV series, George Lopez. His show is an HBO sensation, rated as one of the most widely watched comedy shows in the country. In this stand up comedy hour, Lopez performs in front of a sold out Dodge Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. His show contains most of the jokes that are told during the TV show, with the audience being immediately hooked to Lopez's jokes as he attempts to make even the most normal conversation funny. Towards the end of the show he delves into his personal comedy, as he mocks the differences between Latino and white cultures. He also makes political jokes about Arnold Schwarzenegger and George W. Bush. George Lopez can create a joke out of anything, even if the issue is controversial and that helps to create a good image for this show.
