George Lopez: Tall, Dark & Chicano is a 2009 concert film of the comedian's performance in front of a sold-out crowd at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. Known for his self-titled TV sitcom and late-night talk show, this veteran stand-up explores the Latino experience in America with this routine. He begins with the recent ascension of Latina Sonia Sotomayer to the Supreme Court as a source of pride, as well as taking some comic jabs at the Senate confirmation hearings. Lopez than covers a variety of cultural topics from the dating rituals of white men and brown girls, his theory that Obama is actually a Latino, and why Mexican children do not fall prey to sexual predators. Other topics include the building of the Mayflower, vibrators and how Latinos now make up the biggest American minority. More adult-themed than his TV performances, the sexual content makes this film best suited to mature audiences.
