George Washington is a 2000 drama about a group of children in a small North Carolina town who conspire to keep a dark secret. Donald Holden (George Washington) is widely considered to be one of the oddest boys in his school, mostly because his skull didn't completely form as he was growing up. His life takes an unusual turn when one of the prettiest girls in school, Nasia (Candace Evanofski), decides that she likes him and breaks up with her boyfriend, Buddy (Curtis Cotton III). Not happy with the turn of events, Buddy confronts George, and in the melee that follows, Buddy is accidentally killed. In the aftermath of the unexpected death, George and his friends decide to cover up the death of Buddy and dispose of his body. The guilt of having a dead body on their hands ultimately begins to infect the children with paranoia as they struggle to determine the right thing to do.
