Get Christie Love is a 1974 television movie based on Dorothy Unak's crime novel, The Ledger. Staring Teresa Graves as undercover police detective Christy Love, this film proved immensely popular and was later turned into a television series. As the movie opens, we meet Christie Love posing as a street walker to lure a killer who has been targeting prostitutes. Later, Love is recruited to crack a drug ring by befriending Helen Varga (Louise Sorel, ) the girlfriend of an accountant for a drug smuggler. Famous for the quote, "You're under arrest, Sugah!, this made for television 1970s blaxploitation film features the music, fashions, over the top characterizations and fight scenes that made the genre famous. Running 74 minutes, the film was directed by William Graham and produced by Peter Nelson, Lawrence Turman and David Wolper. Fans of 1970s films like Cleopatra Jones, Foxy Brown and Coffy will find something to like in Get Christie Love.
