Get Over It is a romantic comedy film that follows the story of a teenage boy trying to win his girlfriend back. The film begins with Allison McAllister (Melissa Sagemiller) breaking up with her boyfriend, Berke Landers (Ben Foster). As soon as they break up, Allison starts to date a foreign exchange student, Striker (Shane West), who was previously a singer in a boy band. When Berke learns that Allison and Striker have auditioned for roles in an upcoming school musical, he realizes the best way to win her back would be to get a role in the play. The problem is that Berke does not have any musical talent, so he gets help from his friend's sister, Kelly (Kirsten Dunst), a talented singer, to help improve his singing skills. As the two begin to spend more time together, they develop feelings for each other, making Berke wonder if he really wants Allison back.
