Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a 1964 Japanese monster film and the fifth in the Godzilla franchise. The film opens with Princess Selina Salno of Selgina (Akiko Wakabayashi) arriving in Japan under the protection of police detective Shindo (Yosuke Natsuki), who’s been assigned to protect the princess because of an alleged assassination threat. Once in Japan, the princess begins acting strange. She pronounces herself to be a Venusian from Venus, and warns the Japanese authorities of an impending monster battle of never-before-seen proportions. When Godzilla and Rodan, both thought to be dead, appear and begin terrorizing Japan as their battle destroys Tokyo, the officials decide to listen to the strange princess. She tells them of a dangerous creature named Ghidorah, a three-headed monster who destroyed Venus’s ancient civilization. Right on cue, the golden monster shows up, and the stage is set for a battle of epic proportions. Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster is a classic Godzilla film, featuring the first appearance of Ghidorah and an appearance by Mothra.moreless
