Ghost Rider is a 2007 film based on the Marvel Comics franchise. When teenager Johnny Blaze (Matt Long/Nicholas Cage) struck a deal with the devil to cure his father of cancer, he never anticipated Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda) would steal his soul in exchange. When Mephistopheles cures Barton Blaze's (Brett Cullen) cancer, only to kill him in a motorcycle crash the following evening, young Johnny packs his bags and leaves town, abandoning his young girlfriend, Roxanne (Raquel Alessi/Eva Mendes) in the process. Years later, Johnny has become a world-famous stunt rider, performing for adoring crowds around the world. Roxanne, meanwhile, has become a journalist, and her new assignment is to interview Blaze before his next big show. Roxanne and Johnny have never gotten over each other, but each has reservations about rekindling their relationship. Roxanne is still hurt by Johnny's abandonment, while Johnny has bigger problems standing in the way of romance. Mephistopheles is back, and he's slowly transforming Johnny into the Ghost Rider, a flaming, skeletal biker. Mephistopheles has a mission for the Ghost Rider, but Johnny Blaze has his own plans. Will true love conquer the devil's plans?moreless
