Ghost Town, released in 2008, is an American comedic drama film that was directed by David Koepp. The storyline centers around a dentist named Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) who, while undergoing a colonoscopy, dies on the operating table but is amazingly revived seven minutes later. While Pincus recovers from the anesthetic, he starts to realize that he now has a gift that he wasn't ready to receive; the ability the see and communicate with ghosts. Many of these ghosts seek Bertram's help with personal business that was left unfinished once they died, and Bertram is too hesitant to help. However, Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who died while trying to buy an apartment for his mistress, befriends Pincus. Frank seeks Pincus's assistance with separating his widowed wife from her fiance, who Frank believes is a dishonest man. In order to carry out what Frank wants, Bertram finds himself in the middle of a triangle between a woman and the husband that she lost.moreless
