Movie Summary

Ivan Reitman

Ghostbusters II is an American sci-fi comedy movie made in 1989 by Colombia Pictures and the sequel to the very successful first Ghostbusters film. Who you gonna call... one more time? The Ghostbusters are back! It's 5 years later since we last saw the gang battle a giant Stay Puffed marshmallow man of New York City, but Egon (Harold Ramis), Ray (Dan Aykroyd), Peter (Bill Murray) and Winston (Ernie Hudson) are left to fend for themselves now. They've been sued by the city since that destructive last battle and are forbidden to investigate any paranormal activity. But when strange and spooky incidents lead Dana (Sigourney Weaver) back to seek the Ghostbusters for help once more, the guys are back on the case- one bigger than the last! A strange river of slime is bubbling under the streets of New York. This slime is pure manifested hatred with poltergeist side effects and has been incubating under the most angry city of New York and causing evil spirits to run wild! It's up to the Ghostbusters to unconventionally save the day one more time in this Ivan Reitman comedy classic.

Ghostbusters II is babyboomer silliness. Kids will find the oozing slime and ghastly, ghostly apparitions to their liking and adults will enjoy the preposterously clever dialog.
