1987
Rating:
PG-13
Ghoulies II is the 1988 sequel to the original 1985 cult horror hit, featuring the same diminuitive demons, directed this time out by Albert Band (I Bury the Living, Robot Wars, Prehysteria!). The story once again focuses on a handful of small nasty creatures - the Ghoulies - that escape the clutches of the Priest with a moustache (Anthony Dawson) from the first film and set up home in a circus. Or, more specifically, the ghost house - which is a sort of ghost train without the train - called Satan's Den. This place, which is owned by a young chap with a mullet named Larry (Damon Martin) and his Uncle Ned (Royal Dano, The Trouble With Harry, Something Wicked This Way Comes), is in danger of being closed down by a man called P. Hardin (J. Downing). So they, together with their friend, a dwarf called Sir Nigel (Phil Fondacaro, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Land of the Dead), have to contend with both P. Hardin and the evil Ghoulies, who are on a murderous rampage.moreless
