Giant From the Unknown is a science fiction adventure film about an unfrozen giant that attacks a local village. In a small, California mountain town, everyone is well acquainted with the 500 year old story of Spanish explorer Vargas (Buddy Baer), a lumbering giant of a man that disappeared after wandering into the mountains, never to be heard from again. So when archaeologist Wayne Brooks (Ed Kemmer) finds a centuries old lizard that comes back to life, he proves that suspended animation is possible, and fears that the ancient giant could indeed rise once more to terrorize the town's citizens. Sure enough, when a bolt of lightning strikes the oversized conquistador's resting place, he is awakened from his long slumber, grabs his axe, and heads out on the warpath. The villagers fight with everything they have, but with the body count rising and bullets no match against Vargas' impenetrable frame, can Brooks get rid of this menacing beast and save this small village? Cult legend Richard E. Cunha directs this classic 1950s terror vehicle.moreless
