Gigantic is a 2008 comedy drama directed by Matt Aselton. In the film, 28 year-old mattress salesman, Brian Weathersby (Paul Dano), feels his life is incomplete. As the accidental child of elderly parents, Brian feels that he has always lived in the shadows of his elder brothers. Despite having no woman in his life, he is devoted to adopting a Chinese baby. His plan is thrown off balance when Happy Lolly (Zooey Deschanel) walks into his mattress warehouse and promptly falls asleep on a bed. Almost from the moment she wakes up Happy and Brian have a sexual attraction to each other. However, there is not much else to the relationship. When Brian tells Happy about his plan to adopt a child, she is not thrilled. Brian also has to deal with Happy's overbearing father, Al Lolly (John Goodman) always giving him a hard time over the relationship. Can Happy and Brian have a successful relationship with so little in common?moreless
