Gigli is a 2003 romantic comedy film starring the then romantically linked actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Larry Gigli (Ben Affleck) is a mobster charged with the task of kidnapping Brian (Justin Bartha), a mentally challenged brother of a federal prosecutor. Louis (Lenny Venito), the man who ordered the kidnapping, hires Ricki (Jennifer Lopez) to help Gigli with the job. Gigli is not happy about this for a number of reasons, he wishes that Louis trusted him to work alone. He also feels attracted to Ricki, but is constantly pushed away because she is a lesbian. Louis orders Gigli and Ricki to cut off Brian's thumb, but they refuse. Ricki has a girlfriend named Robin (Missy Crider) and she arrives on the scene and accuses Ricki of cheating with Gigli. She gets so upset that she slits her wrists and they take her to the hospital. They are summoned by crime boss Starkman (Al Pacino) and he expresses his displeasure about the entire affair and threatens to kill Ricki and Gigli.moreless
