Glengarry Glen Ross is a 1992 film adaptation of David Mamet's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning 1984 play of the same name. The film tells the story of a group of real estate salesmen in Chicago. When a big shot from head office comes into town and institutes a cutthroat sales contest, the competition becomes fierce and jobs are on the line. Jack Lemmon plays Shelly Levene, a sales veteran with a daughter in the hospital and very low numbers. Al Pacino is Ricky Roma, the best and most ruthless salesman in the office, he's the favorite to win the contest. Jonathan Pryce plays James Lingk, Roma's latest target. Ed Harris plays Dave Moss, an inveterate buck passer and whiner. Kevin Spacey is John Williamson, the passive aggressive office manager. Alan Arkin is George Aaronow, a salesman with low sales and zero self esteem. Alec Baldwin plays Blake, the hot shot.
