Movie Summary

Director:
Doug Liman
Released:
1999
Rating:
R
GO is the 1999 heavily stylized dark comedy now available on Crackle.com and features an all star cast including Jay Mohr, Scott Wolf, and a fresh Katie Holmes while still in her Dawson's Creek years. The style is similar to that of then new and wildly popular "Pulp Fiction" as the film has three separate story lines linked by one common occurrence - in this case, a drug deal gone bad. On an LA Christmas Eve, deadbeat and local 24 hour grocery store Simon asks young and pretty small time drug dealer Ronna to cover his shift while he takes off for a Vegas roadtrip. That night, two under-the-radar and closeted gay soap stars, Adam and Zack, ask Ronna to hook them up with some dope, though unbeknownst to her, the whole thing is a sting set up by narcotics agent Burke to get the pair off drug charges of their own. In vegas, Simon's trip takes a bad turn when he accidentally shoots a known maffioso at a strip club. All the story lines meet and are resolved at a secret rave that ends up much more than the young party seekers can handle. The film was received with mixed critical acclaims and was Doug Liman's answer to his smash indie hit "Swingers"moreless
