Going Greek is a 2001 American comedy movie, written and directed by Justin Zackham. In this film, called a mix of Animal House and American Pie, Jake Taylor (Dylan Bruno) is a high-school-football-star-turned-freshman-loner attending any-college, U.S.A. When the fraternity that his nerdy cousin, Gil (Dublin James), wants to pledge with refuses to accept Gil unless Jake pledges with him, Jake reluctantly joins the fraternity. In eventful first semester, Jake struggles to maintain his grades and his relationship with the beautiful Paige (Laura Harris), a sophomore with a distinct dislike of all fraternities. Despite the craziness of it all, the naked scavenger hunts, keg parties, sorority-swapping, and all-night beer fests start to grow on Jake. Until all goes wrong when some of the frat brothers go a little too far in trying to get Gil to quit. Then Jake must turn to his fellow pledges, and new best friends, for help. Going Greek is a crazy comedy about friendship, college, brotherhood, and sticking together.moreless
