Movie Summary

Martin Campbell

The eponymous spy who must use his quick-wits and fighting ability (along with his sex appeal) to prevent a criminal organization from using a powerful satellite weapon to destroy the world economy. This is the first Bond film to feature Pierce Brosnan in the lead role, and his portrayal of the classic character is often credited with revitalizing the long-running franchise. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, a criminal syndicate called Janus arose from the ashes to begin a campaign of evil. When MI6 learns of a Janus plot to destroy the Bank of England, James Bond is sent to destroy the mysterious criminals behind Janus and save the world.
