Gone is a 2002 American film directed by Tim Chey and starring Dirk Been and Joel Klug. In a world where the apocalypse is imminent, two lawyers are sent to the Philippines to defend a multinational corporation accused of spilling hazardous material into the ocean. When they arrive in Manila, however, they discover a much larger problem. The world is about to end, and they can see it coming. Exploring themes about the rapture, the lawyers live to experience the world without any Christians, as they have all been removed. The two lawyers must then re-examine their lives and their motivations. The dramatic conclusion to the Christian oriented story takes place at the foot of the worlds largest cross (on the Bataan peninsula across from Manila), where the protagonist's reflect upon the decisions they made in their lives. Gone is a contemporary reimagining of the Book of Revelations.
