Goodbye Charlie is a classic 60s-era comedic romp involving a womanizing screenwriter, Charlie Sorel (Harry Madden), who is killed in the opening scene by the jealous husband of a woman he is romancing. But fate is not done with Charlie yet, and he is reincarnated in the voluptuous form of Debbie Reynolds. At first horrified by this turn of events, the newly female Charlie decides to use his/her blonde bombshell persona to get revenge on all those who did him wrong in his past life, starting with the man who killed him: bombastic Sir Leopold Sartori (Walter Matthau). Sir Leopold promptly falls in lust with Charlie. But he's not the only one: na''ve and lonely millionaire Bruce Minton the Third (Pat Boone) also has the hots for Charlie, and Charlie's best friend, George Wellington Tracy (Tony Curtis) is not entirely sure how he feels about the beautiful woman who shows up on his doorstep, either. Only time will tell if Charlie's escapades once more land him into a world of trouble.moreless
