GoodFellas: Special Edition is a two-disc set presenting Martin Scorsese's highly praised 1990 mob film in a new digital transfer. Also included are a host of special features: making-of featurettes, storyboards, two commentary tracks, and more. The main feature chronicles the career of Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), a real-life mobster and FBI informant. As an adolescent, Henry commits petty crimes in the hope of impressing the mafia. He quickly prospers under the tutelage of boss Paulie Cicero (Paul Sorvino), who fully accepts Henry as a mafioso after the teenager proves himself by refusing to betray accomplices to the police. Henry graduates to lucrative airline heists and is soon making more than enough to support his family, his mistress, and his coke habit. Despite his success, Henry's life may be in danger after a drug deal goes sour and both cops and mobsters close in. GoodFellas: Special Edition showcases this acclaimed film, which is well-known for its striking cinematography and soundtrack and won Best Film from many critics' associations.moreless
