Gor is a 1988 fantasy and science fiction feature film. It is an adaptation of John Norman's novel, The Tarnsman of Gor. It takes place on an imaginary planet, Gor, which is connected to Earth by two objects. On Earth, the teleport device is a ring, which finds itself in the possession of the film's protagonist, Tarl Cabot (Urbano Barberini), early in the movie. The other device is the Home Stone, which is being searched for by a barbaric and tyrannical warrior in Gor named Sarm (Oliver Reed). The adventure begins as Tarl Cabot, an awkward history professor on planet Earth, accidentally manages to transport himself to Gor using the ring. He find Planet Gor in turmoil as Sarm is destroying and pillaging all the villages to find the Home Stone. The formerly meek professor finds himself suddenly in the midst of battle, where he manages to kill Sarm's son, and then is knocked unconscious. When he wakes up, he finds himself being taken care of by a princess named Talena (Rebecca Ferratti) whose father has been kidnapped by Sarm. Can Cabot free Talena's father, find the Home Stone and keep up an interplanetary romance? Watch Gor to find out.moreless
