Grave Indiscretion is a black comedy from 1997. A butler, Mr. Fledge (Sting) and his wife, Mrs. Fledge (Trudie Styler) are underhanded caretakers of an English manor and work for paleontologist, Sir Hugo Coal (Alan Bates) and his wife Harriet (Theresa Russell). Sir Hugo is actually broke and sponges off Harriet. Mr. Fledge would like nothing more than to own the manor himself and seduces Harriett. Hugo and Harriet's daughter, Cleo (Lena Headey) announces her engagement to a demure poet, Sidney (Steven Mackintosh) and upsets her father horribly. Soon after, poor Sidney is murdered. Mrs. Giblet (Anna Masey) is Sidney's shrewd mother and she goes sniffing around the manor along with the police to see if Sidney's murder can be solved. This film was also known as, 'The Grotesque, ' and the sets alone are worth watching the film. Every nook and cranny of the Coal's manor is stuffed with artifacts, worms, bones and other goodies.
