Grave of the Vampire is a 1974 British horror film directed by John Haynes. It features the vampire Caleb Croft (played by Michael Pataki) who has awakened from a long sleep. Caleb goes out and rapes a woman (played by Kitty Vallacher) who then gives birth to a half human half vampire baby whom she has to feed with her own blood. The boy, named James, grows up (and is played by William Smith). When his mother dies (from her continual blood loss) James decides to find his father and murder him in revenge for what he had done to his mother. James eventually tracks his vampire father down. He has become a college professor who teaches his young students about the occult. James finally confronts the evil Caleb and the two battle each other in a shockingly violent bout of fisticuffs at the end of this surprisingly vicious horror film.
